Dear Union School District Family,

How are you? I miss you. One month of being distanced from you is tough. I miss attending your school sing-alongs, walkathons, dances, plays, spirit games and so much more.

What keeps me going when I’m feeling down, when I’m missing you, is thinking about all the good things that are still happening in our communities. During these past few weeks, in so many different ways, our students, teachers, classified staff, parents and administrators reached out to one another and their community to continue the loving USD connection. Seeing the videos, tweets, emails and special movies gave me joy. It reminded me that even though we are physically distanced, we are still in each other’s hearts.

Each of you have been working hard to adjust to this new normal; this new normal for now. Thank you to our wonderful students, staff, parents, administrators and Board members for bridging the divide of our physical distance with virtual demonstrations of kindness and compassion.

Wishing you all the best of health,

Denise
