The elders are excited to announce that after a long search we have hired Ben Hester to join our staff as the Director of Worship! Ben is very talented and everyone who met with him during his interviews agreed he is a natural fit in the Hope culture! We’ll let him introduce himself in the video, but here’s a preview of his musical talent: https://youtu.be/WTfPLK_ub7E. Ben and Micah will be working on selling their house in Texas and moving to Charlotte in mid-October to join our staff.
As Ben assumes the role of Hope’s Worship Director, Shane Martin will transition to part-time staff in February as the SE Worship Coordinator. We’ve been discussing this change with Shane for a while and he’s excited about the shift as it will allow him to continue to use his worship gifts, focus on South End, and also explore some of his gifts and passions outside of Hope.
Eric Bernier will also be coming on staff part-time at Hope as our OP Worship Coordinator. Eric has been a key worship Team Leader at OP for quite a while now and brings musical talent and a great heart for worship and people.
We are really excited about each of these additions and changes in our worship ministry so that all three congregations have a dedicated worship staff person ensuring the quality of this vital ministry area!
We will be sending out more information about opportunities to meet Ben and his family once they get here (and help them move in)! In the meantime, please be praying for the Hester’s house to sell and for good closure with their church community in Texas.
