Leanne K. Ferrer is the Executive Director for Pacific Islanders in Communications (PIC). She joined PIC as Program Manager in 2008, was promoted to Program Director and then Executive Director in 2013. She created PIC’s first series for national public television, Pacific Heartbeat, which is now in its 7th season. Leanne has over 30 years of experience in the film and television industry. She is an award-winning filmmaker who previously worked for Disney Films, PBS Hawaii, and 1013 Integrated, Hawai‘i’s longest running full-service production company. She is a previously PIC-funded producer whose film, i scream, floats, and Sundays, broadcast nationally on PBS.
Leanne was a 2017 Fellow in the National Arts Strategies’, Chief Executive Program and is Board President of Hawai’i Women in Filmmaking.
Ty Robinson is an Investor, Advisor, Wealth Strategist and Entrepreneur. He is a production consultant in the Virtual and Augmented Reality industries. As a Wealth Strategist, he helps employees and freelancers implement strategies to increase monthly passive income, rapidly pay off debt, and align their finances with their lifestyle and most important goals. Ty has also authored several eBooks including “Crypto Profits”, an introduction to the cryptocurrency revolution. Ty has been investing for 20 years with a focus on Real Estate holds and flips, Options, P2P investments and Cryptocurrency.
Previously, Ty worked in the video game and animation industries, working on games such as Dance Dance Revolution, TMNT and Star Wars Star Fighter as well as animated TV commercials for Bell South and Motif Wines. Ty has also produced two animated films, “Haloa” and “Maisa” which have screened in film festivals around the world.
After going out on his own, he started up a software company specializing in software engineering for the video game industry, primarily serving the Asia market. Some of the company’s key clients were Sanrio, Outblaze and MXR Corp. He also helped co-found Twiddle Productions and worked on films and commercials as well as two series pilot episodes.
Ty attended the Academy of Art University and majored in 3D Animation. He received his MBA from the University of Liverpool.
KENNETH PAULINO JR. Co-Founder Kottura Innovations and Chief Media Innovator. Ken has over 17 years of experience in the areas of new media development, iOS development, SEO, digital media strategy, and UX/UI. He received two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Cal State University Monterey Bay in Teledramatic Arts and Technology and Information Technology and Communication Design. While in college, Ken worked on a number of productions to include the production of his college capstone “FUNKTATE” and has done several print and multimedia work for other college functions. Prior to co-founding Kottura Innovations, he worked at Glimpses of Guam and was the Lead Media Developer for the Center for Homeland Defense and Security at the Naval Postgraduate School developing educational modules and other new media technology. To date he has released five mobile apps for iOS and Android devices to include: Access Guam, Taste Guam, the Marianas Business Journal, Kottura ART, and the GTA Capture App. If you were to search “Guam” in the app store, he has developed two of the top 5 ranking apps for Guam. Ken’s passion for design stems from his love of producing music and experimenting with different types of media outputs (audio, visual, mixed reality) to elevate the visual experience. As an avid audio learner himself, he values hands-on learning for all ages to engage and bridge how we learn and experience things from different perspectives.
