A work from Visual Language B. I tried to rely on a logical tool – chess to help me organize the visual clues in the city and thus create new narratives. The city is chaotic information parasitism, we use the image spontaneously. That’s how we communicate with others, how we link to the outer world. The balance between multiple chaoses is relative and dynamic. By using NYC as the chessboard, I get access to NYC’s open-source surveillance camera to create my image database. I recreate the classic theoretic stalemate with no piece killed. The black and white pieces represent the inner desire and outlook of our as human beings who always hunt for something in the street.
