Play in the same venue as world champion Magnus Carlsen and former world champion Viswanathan Anand! The GRENKE Chess Open 2020 will take place in Karlsruhe:

► Date: 09 April to 13 April 2020 (Easter)
► Location: Schwarzwaldhalle in Karlsruhe

The GRENKE Chess Open is divided into three rating categories:

A-Open: 1950 ELO rating and higher
B-Open: Under 2000 ELO
C-Open: Under 1400 ELO

Prize Fund: 70,000€

Everybody can play the chess tournament. If you have no rating you are welcome to play the C-Open.

Over 2000 chess players from all around the world are gathering in Karlsruhe to play the royal game of chess. Enjoy the atmosphere of playing in the same venue as world champion Magnus Carlsen and Vishy Anand.

Last year grandmaster Daniel Fridman could win the GRENKE Chess Open 2019. One year before the young German master Vincent Keymer could win the GRENKE Chess Open 2018 ahead of 50 strong grandmasters.
